The first Ganbare Goemon game was released in English speaking countries as The Legend of the Mystical Ninja, its sequal Ganbare Goemon 2 was never released outside of Japan.
It really is leaps and abounds ahead of the first, I never liked the town sections of the first, while they are there in the second, only really to score a few powerups and to save.
Yeah, I never beat the original SNES one because those town segments were so boring. I felt like as soon as I was really enjoying it, I was back in town. I have to give this game a try.
dude i loved the review. and i want to play this now. i kinda was not much for the first but this looks like it fixes my gripes with the first one.
